Nature Center Harvest Fest Saturday September 25th

The New Canaan Nature Center will be hosting their 9th Annual Harvest Festival Saturday September 25th!

This is one of their largest fundraisers for the New Canaan Nature Center, it will take place in the meadow, under a tent with beer, bites, wine, and live music by the Acoustic Quarantine.

COVID Clearance: To ensure the health and safety of all participants. All ticket holders must provide proof of vaccination OR proof of a negative COVID PCR test takin within 72 hours of the event to gain entry. Masks will be required to use the indoor restrooms as well.

The New Canaan Scholarship Foundation welcomes WSM as a title sponsor for the 1st ever NC Color Drop

The New Canaan Scholarship Foundation, (NCSF), welcomes Walter Stewart’s as a title sponsor for the first ever NC Color Drop to be held March 31, 2021 at 9:45 a.m. This event will be live-streamed on NCTV78, Channel 78, for all residents to watch.
There will be second, and third prize winners as well.
The winning balls will be announced immediately. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the scholarship foundation for need based scholarships given to NCHS graduates.
Throughout the years, Walter Stewart’s Market has generously partnered with the foundation, and recognizes the long-standing community effort to provide need based financial aid for the high school graduates pursuing higher education at the undergraduate level.
Golf balls will be available for purchase online beginning March 1, at www.nchs-sf.org/colordrop.
A chance for four passengers to fly in the helicopter during the event will be up for bid as well. For all people’s involved safety, no spectators will be allowed at the event.

Walter Stewart’s is a proud sponsor of the annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner & Social March 15th, 5-7pm, at St. Aloysius school hall in New Canaan, benefitting the Kiwanis Club of New Canaan Scholarship Foundation. Traditional Corned Beef & Cabbage meals served. Take out available. Irish music & dance by the Pender Keally School of Irish Dance and the Anam Cara Irish Dance School.

Stop by for a sampling of Arethusa’s local CT Farmstead Cheeses: award-winning Arethua Blue, Arethusa Mt. Tom, Arethusa Cry Baby, Arethusa Bella Bantam, and Arethusa Tapping Reeve (named after the founder of the first proprietary law school in America (Litchfield).
Arethusa Farmstead Blue won first place in the Blue Veined Cheese category at the 2018 World Championship Cheese Contest in Madison, Wisconsin. The cheese scored 97.55 to take home the “Best in Class” award.
